Paczki Day History
Paczki Day is a Polish tradition where the population eats paczkis on, what is otherwise known as, Fat Tuesday. Paczkis are the Polish name for jelly-filled doughnuts. This tradition spread to other countries besides Poland, including the U.S. This day is typically celebrated in areas with concentrated Polish communities like in Chicago or Detroit.
