National Chocolate Ice Cream Day celebrates the existence of chocolate ice cream in the United States. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month. According to National Ice Cream Association, Ice Cream was first introduced in the United States by Quaker colonists who brought their Ice Cream recipes. Their ice cream was sold at shops in New York and other cities during the colonial era. National Chocolate Ice Cream Day is celebrated annually on June 7th.
