Star Trek is a science fiction space exploration adventure series that takes place In the Milky Way galaxy around the 24th century. Gene Roddenberry is credited for the shows creation and his vision which depicts a future where money has no value and humanity worked together as they realize they are part of something bigger. Star Trek is celebrated on September 8th, which represents the date it first aired in 1966 on NBC.
