National Bourbon Day History
National Bourbon Day celebrates all whiskeys produced within the borders of the United States. Bourbon has unique ingredients as corn, grains, malted barely, and rye or wheats. A bourbon must be aged at least two years, some types can be aged over four years or even longer. Bourbons contain 40 to 50 percent of alcohol by volume. The observance is commemorated annually on June 14th.
