National Bourbon Day History

National Bourbon Day celebrates all whiskeys produced within the borders of the United States. Bourbon has unique ingredients as corn, grains, malted barely, and rye or wheats. A bourbon must be aged at least two years using a new, charred oak barrel. some types can be aged over four years or even longer. Bourbons contain 40 to 50 percent of alcohol by volume. This day is observed annually on June 14th.
