International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People History

International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People seeks to promote Palestinian Rights. The United Nations promotes the development of education, culture, sciences and freedom of expression on this day for Palestine. In 1947, United Nations Resolution 181 was passed which separated Palestine into Arab and Jewish states. The resolution was known as the legal basis for establishing Israel. Iit was met with rejection and violence by many in the Arab Community. Later in 1977, the UN General Assembly proclaimed this Observance.
