World Rabies Day History

World Rabies Day is a health observance which aims to raise awareness about the disease. The observance was created by GARC (Global Alliance for Rabies Control) in 2007. Rabies is a rare, contagious disease spread by mammals that can cause convulsions, excess salivation, and paralysis. This day is observed on September 28th.
