White Day History

White Day is a day to for those who received gifts on Valentine’s Day, to give back and appreciate the person who gave them the gifts. White Day originated in Japan after a women suggested it wasn’t fair that men got chocolate on Valentine’s Day and didn’t return the favour. Soon after, a businessman agreed with her view and created the holiday Marshmallow Day to show appreciation for women. Men began to give back to those who gifted them and soon became a popular tradition. Marshmallow Day was later changed to White Day and became an annual occurrence on March 14th, Exactly one month from Valentine’s Day.
