    1) Australian Capital Territory – 30.9%

  • Funded in 1813, the Benevolent Society is Australia’s oldest charity organisation which focuses on providing supporting services for children, families, people with disabilities, and older Australians.
  • The record for most volunteer participants was set in 2010 when over 6 million people participated in volunteer work for the year. The most popular organisation type was sports and recreation.
