World Sleep Day History

World Sleep Day aims to emphasize the importance of sleep for the human health, and for the well-being of the community. The global awareness event focuses on highlighting how a proper night of sleep can avoid car accidents, increase health, and work and education quality. The World Sleep Society organizes the event annually on the Friday before Spring Vernal Equinox.
