International Workers Day seeks to celebrate and appreciate workers achievements. Workers Day is also a campaign for decent work and fair pay. This holiday has helped improve the working conditions of workers, and safer working conditions worldwide. Workers Day became a holiday in the late 1800’s when workers unionized and protested for better wages and working conditions in Chicago, U.S. Workers Day is celebrated annually around the world on May 1st.
