National Writing Day History

National Writing Day seeks to raise awareness about the joys of creative writing. This day encourages everyone to use the power of words to express themselves. This day also aims to inspire those who enjoy writing to continue to do so. It hopes to encourage writers to spread their love for writing to others.

National Writing Day was established in 2016 by the organization First Story. It is observed annually near the end of June.
