Suffolk Day

Established in 2017, Suffolk Day is the brainchild of BBC Radio Suffolk and the East Anglian Daily Times. Throughout its history, Suffolk has given rise to many notable figures, including the artist Thomas Gainsborough and the novelist and poet George Orwell. Suffolk Day highlights the importance of preserving and celebrating the region's shared heritage.

Suffolk Day is observed through a host of community events, which are held across the county. Local businesses and other organisations are encouraged to host events that showcase local cuisine, crafts, and customs. In order to accommodate various participants and partners, Suffolk Day celebrations have expanded and now take place over a weekend, with the main day of observance occurring on June 21st.
