International Kissing Day History
International Kissing Day seeks to encourage and appreciate the physical act of kissing. The act of kissing is know to release chemicals in your brain that promote pleasure, relaxation and reduce stress. These chemicals include: oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin. Oxytocin is linked to pair bonding which encourages feelings of affection and attachment. Women’s Health Magazine says lips are 200 times more sensitive than touching fingertips.
