There are many days celebrating maths (aren't all days maths days?), but we in Oxford Mathematics have a soft spot for today, Pi Day, for the complex mathematical reason that Pi is the name of our cafe.
So, to celebrate, we baked. https://t.co/9TYRrVeERN

A #MathsTLP request of my own - Pi Day is a week on Tuesday (14th!).
Does anyone have any resources / tasks to be used in tutor / whole sch / as starters / in main lessons etc they would be willing to share? 🙏🏼🤞🏻 https://t.co/7fJL107mOm
Happy Pi Day everyone!!
Here is the first of our competitions today and for the rest of the week.
Guess the weight of this wonderfully made cake by one of our dedicated team, Miss Khatun.

Sorry mathematicians (and others), I almost forgot that today is pi day! @PGCE_Maths @UWPGSEC 😋 https://t.co/nfQ63c4GQ6
3rd Year Maths students attended a Pie maths quiz today and Anton, Nikola, Sarah and Cliodhna came joint third. Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day format) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π. 👋#maths #STEM https://t.co/6QRneH68ED
The maths team are enjoying celebrating pi day today. Did you know Welsh mathematician, William Jones, was the first to use the green letter to represent pi? #mathematics #piDay2023 https://t.co/K3XHmGnOrs
Pi Day celebrates the mathematical constant π (pi), 3.141592653... Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. The circumference of a circle is defined as its arc length while the diameter is defined as the longest chord of the circle.
