Pentecost Sunday
Today is the last day of the Easter Season and the day when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Apostles as a mighty wind and tongues of fire. It is historically regarded as the 'birthday' of the Church, the beginning of its preaching mission to the world. https://t.co/5qfKbt4Gd1

All manner of thing shall be well
When the tongues of flames are in-folded
Into the crowned knot of fire
And the fire and the rose are one.'

Pentecost commemorates when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be with the disciples (Acts 2). With the Holy Spirit among the disciples, the church was born.
