#Beltane, an ancient Celtic festival of fire & fertility, is celebrated on #1stMay. Faery magic is now at its strongest, as the veil between the worlds is thin. The fae are very tricky, but iron or salt placed across the doorstep will protect your home. #MayDay #FolkloreSunday https://t.co/bL6IijeEJU
For May day, don't forget to leave flowers outside your door this evening (30 April)! Important Bealtaine tradition to keep you safe from the fairies! Yellow flowers popular; marsh-marigolds, primroses, buttercups, gorse! #Beltane #Ireland #FolkloreSunday https://t.co/kL4pdZyfS9 https://t.co/mtD3l8QOWa

#Beltane Blessings to you all!
Today was once a day of feasting, merriment, and 'immorality' dedicated to Robin Hood.
Illegitimate babies conceived on #MayDay were know as 'sons of Robin'.
Perhaps the origin of the surname, Robinson? https://t.co/xC7FLiig9T

Bumble bees love Dundreggan's 'wee trees' - planted by volunteers in 2019. The pollinators are bouncing from catkin to catkin up on the hill.
Here's a hopeful moment to celebrate #beltane, the Gaelic festival of renewal. Today we are thankful for the return of nature here 🐝🌱 https://t.co/9Zlu18cP7T
We planted a hawthorn on our farm last year and this morning we decorated it for Bealtaine. I love the old tradition of the May bush which was once celebrated in the area many years ago. Children would gather ribbons, rags, egg shells and flowers and hang them up on a hawthorn 🧵 https://t.co/1UBoOCjxZs
