'If any one denieth, that, in the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist, are contained truly, really, and substantially, the body and blood together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ ... let him be anathema.'

Preparations for today's celebration of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ are well on the way. We will be using the first fruits of the College vineyard, Oxford Riesling, at Holy Communion, 6pm in St John's Church. All are welcome. https://t.co/g2pIHJ9DtA

A few faithful souls for Corpus Christi tonight, but we were in good voice! Sometimes we worship 'with' and sometimes 'on behalf of'.
The Body and Blood of Christ +sanctify our souls. Amen.
Also, this lovely surprise thank-you gift after the service :) https://t.co/qJWweRPiAq

2/2 Details of the same scene, this time in early 16th Century English glass, at Ayston, Rutland. The blood drips from Christ's wounds into chalices held by angels. Today is the feast of Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Christ. https://t.co/3MgTtKV2Jj
Today's the feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood, traditionally known as Corpus Christi. Angels collect Christ's blood in chalices in glass made at Augsburg, Germany in 1540 and now at Stradsett, Norfolk.

This bizarre repeated assertion about ‘existence’. I don’t believe that the Eucharist wafer and wine become the body and blood of Christ but that doesn’t mean I think Catholics don’t exist. #GenderWars
Lord Jesus Christ, You gave Your Catholic Church an admirable sacrament as the abiding memorial of Your passion. Teach us so to worship the sacred mystery of Your Body and Blood that its redeeming power may sanctify us always. Who live and reign with God the Father. Amen. https://t.co/X19BBOuHJD
Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you that in this wonderful sacrament you have given us the memorial of your passion: grant us so to reverence the sacred mysteries of your body and blood that we may know within ourselves and show forth in our lives the fruits of your redemption. Amen. https://t.co/04DMEYDlJa

I am looking forward to be at St Matthew's, Douglas for 'Dies Sanctissimi Corporis et Sanguinis Domini Iesu Christi.' The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, otherwise called Corpus Christi. The feast is transferred from Thursday to Sunday. https://t.co/dqGKw7G6UT
