AIJAC wishes all our supporters and friends a joyful Purim and hope you enjoy many hamantaschen [traditional Purim pastries]! Purim reminds us of the many challenges the Jewish community has faced in the past, and those that we continue to face today. Chag Purim sameach! https://t.co/rjQYkmRKzp
Today I hosted @NYPDFIRSTDEP Caban, @NYPDChiefOfDept Maddrey, @NYPDChiefPatrol Chell, @NYPDBklynSouth Chief McEvoy & @NYCMayor Senior Advisor @joeleisdorfer to engage with heads of our local community based volunteer organizations about NYPD’s commitment to keep us safe on Purim. https://t.co/1vLJ2IvdlI
Gut Shabbos 🕯🕯🍷
On Shabbos before Purim we are celebrating the defeat of Haman, who plot to kill us.
A Jewish response to Amalek is to
" Remember" to call forth our soul and to reserve it for our Faith.
A faith " Remembered " can meet any challenge whether rational or not! https://t.co/tsKr52yfIO
Ugh, y'all. I have been working on my thesis today because I am procrastinating on Purim Costumes.
I have to make
- 1 onion
- 1 autumn mushroom
out of my head, and by Tuesday.
Done so much PhD, friends, so much.
@louiseadler @adelwritersweek @Samantharhill Anyone who welcomes, promotes, and defends people who spew vile Jew hate most certainly has an antisemitism problem. Platforming them on Purim is just the icing on this very unkosher cake.
I am expecting many good wishes in a couple of weeks, mainly because of the number of people who wished me Happy Chanukah in December. Purim is even more fun as a festival, and also not a major festival. (The next major festival is in April.)
