Today is Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day. The #OldGuard took part in a wreath ceremony honoring and recognizing those who have lost their sons or daughters while serving their country. Their strength and resilience serves as an inspiration to us all.

It began during World War I with a simple accessory worn to represent a loved one who died in the war: a black armband with a gilt star. Today, we recognize Gold Star Mothers and Families Day by remembering our fallen servicemembers and honoring the families they left behind.
