In the #GospelOfTheDay we hear a promise that introduces us to the Time of #Advent: “Your Lord is coming” (Mt 24:42). This is the foundation of our hope, it is what supports us even in the most difficult moments: God is coming. Let us never forget this!
During this #Advent Season, let us ask the Lord to help us keep the lamp of faith alit in our lives, to be prepared to receive him, and that he fill us with peace and joy.
Beginning of Advent Fasting in Coptic Orthodox Church
Today marks the beginning of the fast of the Nativity (the Advent) in our Coptic Orthodox Church. We implore our Lord, who completed our salvation by coming down to redeem us from the bondage of sin, to help us to do what is https://t.co/7xgKkOP9IV
Working hard to turn my mind off from the real world today by finishing home made advent calendars for our friends - one with craft beers, one with mix of gin, smellies & chocolate. Meanwhile, Mr 12 is tackling a Xmas Lego set. Finding things to do that are good for the soul :-) https://t.co/MqCkc4ytwQ
