Today we celebrate Greek Independence Day. On March 25th, 1821 Greek revolutionaries declared freedom from Ottoman occupation. We honour the many brave women and men who led the struggle for freedom, like Bouboulina. It took over 100 years for the Greece of today to be free. Show more
