International Day of Forests History

International Day of Forests seeks to celebrate forests and raise awareness about the importance of trees. This day aims to educate the public about the vital role that forests and trees have in sustaining and protecting humans. It further aims to raise awareness about the effects of rapid deforestation.

International Day of Forests was established in 2012 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on March 21st.
