Today is Persons Day in Canada. There is so much be critical about it but it's important to remember that even the most privileged women gained personhood in Canada less than 100 years ago.
We honour the work of the Famous Five, who argued in 1927 that the legal definition of ‘person’ should include women. The landmark case helped pave the way for women to participate equally in all aspects of life in Canada. https://ow.ly/LZzM50TME9L
