Aboriginal Veterans Day seeks to remember and honor those indigenous people who lost their lives in war. According to Veterans Affairs Canada, more than 7,000 aboriginal people served in these wars. More than 500 lost their lives and many more were wounded. Show more

Replying to @AlleyDalley If you think acknowledging Indigenous Veterans somehow takes away from Remembrance Day and you lack the ability to still Honour both days, that’s a you issue. It doesn’t mean there is a problem with National Aboriginal Veterans Day.
